Right now, I’ve found my place in life—right here. Here, I feel whole, strong, and connected. That’s where the idea came from: to open up this world to others as well. To gather the things I’ve learned and bring them back to my homeland, and to put them into practice here.

About Katri

How do you talk about yourself? How do you put into words how you see life and yourself? In this world, people often talk about what they’ve studied and what they’ve done or are doing. I see that, in the end, it’s all about seeking connection and learning from it.

I’ve studied a lot: biology, cultural anthropology, to become a wilderness guide, a family caregiver, and a naturopath—and most recently, and dearest to me of all, a copper smith.

But what I feel most deeply, however, is the fulfillment of that childhood dream to live exactly like this, as part of nature. For me, the greatest joy is putting on my boots in the entryway and heading out into the woods. Sometimes to forage for mushrooms and berries, sometimes just to be a part of it all.

Furthermore, in everything and everywhere, connection with other people is also the foundation of life—encountering others by listening and seeing.
